Before you start
Have your full email address and mailbox password ready, along with your mail server name, usually mail.yourdomain.com.
Step 1
Open Outlook and go to File → Add Account.
Step 2
Enter your full email address, click Advanced options, tick Let me set up my account manually, then click Connect.
Step 3
Choose IMAP from the account type list.
Step 4
Enter your server settings:
- Incoming (IMAP): mail.yourdomain.com, port 993, encryption SSL/TLS
- Outgoing (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.com, port 465, encryption SSL/TLS
Step 5
Click Next, enter your mailbox password, and click Connect.
Step 6
Click Done. Send yourself a test email to confirm everything works.
If the connection fails
Check that your password is correct and that you entered your full email address as the username, not just the part before the @
