Before you start
Install an authenticator app on your phone, such as Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator.
Step 1
Log in to cPanel and go to Security → Two-Factor Authentication.
Step 2
Click Set Up Two-Factor Authentication. A QR code and a security key will appear.
Step 3
Open your authenticator app, tap Add account or the + icon, and scan the QR code. If scanning doesn’t work, enter the security key manually.
Step 4
Your app will show a six-digit code. Type it into the Security Code box in cPanel and click Configure Two-Factor Authentication.
Step 5
You’ll see a confirmation. From now on, you’ll enter a code from your app each time you log in.
Important: If you lose your phone, you’ll be locked out of cPanel. Keep a copy of the security key somewhere safe
