IT Helpdesk Consultant

Job Description


  • Perform the helpdesk duties and provide level 1 support to users
  • Record helpdesk tickets and service requests and ensure that the relevant records are maintained
  • Perform maintenance on computers, servers and networks outside of regular office hours, including weekends
  • Verify that a backup is in place and address any errors that may be present
  • Ensure that documentation, inventory and network diagram are promptly updated
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports for IT services
  • Provide assistance with system administration and any assigned projects
  • Comply with all policies and procedures published under Information Security Management System Category
  • Fulfil the requirements of Information Security Management System Standards

The ideal candidate:

  • Technical expertise and knowledge in IT systems, software, hardware, and networking
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Professionalism and a customer-centric approach to provide quality support
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
